SAILING

Maybe my life would have been different if my mother had not sailed pregnant with me. So the sailing become part of my live before I was born. Sailing has taught me a lot about how to improve and work in a team. I learned to care about my equipment and act in emergencies. To be focused. To make plans which become reality.

After more than 150-200,000 miles sailing and about 300-400 races, my teams and I have won some race classics, some of them several times: Round Skagen, Round Bornholm, Round Funen, Kieler Woche (FD), Silverrudder 2018 ... we have finished at least over 50 races among the first three, more than 150 in the first quarter.

These narrow and light boats are real downwind rockets. No hands at the spinnaker sheets, and not less than 10 knots. That´s sailing at it´s best! Visit the class home page: http://www.bb10m.dk With the heavy wind spinnaker the boat is very easy to handle and is pointing very high. The video is made during sailing from Fredericia (Denmark, Little Belt) to Anholt, appr. 20 Miles in front of the island in the Kattegat. A BB10m is 10m long, 2,3m narrow and has a weight of 2,2 ton (racing modus, appr. 2,5 tons touring modus) only. Advantages to modern boats: Nearly no water on deck. No nosedives. Sailing up 18 knots with a cup of coffee in the hand and a child playing in the cockpit :-)
