SAILING

It is possible that my life would have unfolded differently had my mother not sailed while pregnant with me, as sailing became an integral part of my existence before my birth. This activity has imparted lessons about teamwork, the importance of equipment maintenance, and effective emergency response. I have developed a strong focus and the ability to transform plans into tangible outcomes.

Having sailed between 150,000 and 200,000 miles and participated in approximately 300 to 400 races, my teams and I have secured victories in several prestigious races, some on multiple occasions, including Round Skagen, Round Bornholm, Round Funen, Kieler Woche (FD), and Silverrudder 2018. We have consistently placed in the top three in over 50 races and more than 150 in the top quarter.

I have encapsulated some of these experiences in various presentations and lectures.

These narrow and light boats are real downwind rockets. No hands at the spinnaker sheets, and not less than 10 knots. That´s sailing at it´s best! Visit the class home page: http://www.bb10m.dk With the heavy wind spinnaker the boat is very easy to handle and is pointing very high. The video is made during sailing from Fredericia (Denmark, Little Belt) to Anholt, appr. 20 Miles in front of the island in the Kattegat. A BB10m is 10m long, 2,3m narrow and has a weight of 2,2 ton (racing modus, appr. 2,5 tons touring modus) only. Advantages to modern boats: Nearly no water on deck. No nosedives. Sailing up 18 knots with a cup of coffee in the hand and a child playing in the cockpit :-)
